O Samba do Crioulo Doido is a stinging, frontal critique of the racial stereotypes associated with black bodies that haunt our collective subconscious. The piece was created by Luis de Abreu in 2004 and, almost two decades later, has passed on to Calixto Neto. It is a mischievous appropriation of a body often considered subordinate, an invitation to reclaim itself and its own history.
