Flood

dance
28—29.04.2017

Throwaway society

In Flood, Linehan studies things that have been lost on the one hand and the flood of new technologies, products and ideas on the other. In his typical smart and playful way he creates a choreography of appearances, accelerations, decelerations and disappearances with four dancers. The design duo 88888 develops a scenography that elicits a multilayered viewing experience, as a palimpsest. Frédérick Denis plays with present and future in the costumes. The soundscape of echoes and traces by Peter Lenaerts, and the lighting design by Elke Verachtert complete the multi-sensory experience.

• In 2007, Daniel Linehan left the US and came to Brussels to study at PARTS. He is a regular guest at the Kaaitheater, and has staged dbddbb (2015), The Karaoke Dialogues (2014), Gaze is a Gap is a Ghost (2012) and Zombie Aporia (2011).
