A low threshold afternoon party
Wednesday is for dancing.
A few years ago, together with young people we met in reception and asylum centres, we launched something small and simple: a Wednesday dance afternoon, born somewhere between soft drinks, chips music, and new encounters. That seed grew into Art For You(th): a weekly journey where young people explored artists, art spaces and practices, created their own work, and built a community.
On the first Wednesday of December, we return to where it all began. The dance floor is open to everyone: young people, older people, former participants, new faces, artists, partners, neighbours… Come dance, celebrate, reconnect and meet.
A DJ and young performers will kick off the party and keep the vibes high. Alongside the music, we’ll present a selection of photos and works created throughout Art For You(th): a glimpse of what has been made, shared and passed on along the way.
A festive and informal afternoon to look back, celebrate, and imagine what comes next.
