Wonders of Multilingualism #8: Multilingual Dutch
The multilingual society does not exist alongside Dutch; rather, it enriches Dutch with new stories, words, and sounds. Multilingual Dutch emerged from a desire to create a language tailored to the experiences of migration. Gradually, reflections on gender and disability have also enriched Dutch. During this edition of Wonders of Multilingualism, Mira Bryssinck, Tessa Leuwsha, Lisette Ma Neza and Hari Prasad Sacré will take the audience on a journey through the academic sources and artistic currents of Multilingual Dutch. Over the course of two evenings, the programme travels from Brussels to Suriname in search of the Dutch language of tomorrow.
This programme is curated by Hari Prasad Sacré.
