Sharing the emptiness. Making that emptiness resonate, amplifying and filling it with echoes and traces. These echoes and traces resonate with each other in turn and emphasize their frequencies.

Sophia Dinkel and Marie Goudot – two dancers with different backgrounds and career paths who have both danced for Rosas – have invented a highly personal language. A language as a way of relating to each other and to space. A language that develops in in-between spaces. A language that bends, that contracts, and elicits moments of loneliness, intersection, or vertigo.

Using two electric guitars, they align their bodies and get to work. The guitars soon turn out to be the mouthpieces for their states of mind and become projection surfaces for auditory landscapes. Sophia Dinkel and Marie Goudot start from the blank page of the stage and present their movements as an answer to invisibility: as in the ebb and flow of a stream, their gestures harmonize with the strings of the guitars. In this way, they give shape to the stories and questions that drive them: about the status of author and performer, about the female body, and about the relationship between dance and memory.

— Gilles Amalvi, for CN D Magazine.

• Marie Goudot (1978, she), a 1998 graduate of Rudra Béjart School in Lausanne, has collaborated with many choreographers in Europe and has built a rich, eclectic career. She divides her time between creation, research, and teaching, and has an interest in communicating her work to a wide audience. In 2005 she co-founded LOGE22, a choreographic laboratory that has collectively created fifteen pieces. From 2010 to 2016, she also participated in SPIDER, a traveling European platform dedicated to performing arts. In 2022, she co-founded YOUNGSTERS, an international platform in Brussels that promotes encounters between artists and young people, in all their diversity. She teaches in several programs in Europe and is actively involved in P.A.R.T.S.

• Sophia Dinkel (1995, she) studied dance and music at the Conservatory of Geneva and then at Codarts in Rotterdam. In 2015, she danced in Tino Sehgal's Yet Untitled at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. From 2017 to 2019 she was associated with the ICK platform, where she collaborated with several choreographers, including Emanuel Gat and Nacera Belaza. She then danced in SOMETHING (out of nothing) by Kris Verdonck. Between 2020 and 2023, Sophia Dinkel was part of the Rosas company, where she participated in both repertory pieces and new creations. She now divides her time between dance and music.
