Unfortunately, we have to cancel all shows due to the illness of one of the actors.
No trouble or expense is being spared during the centenary of the Great War. And yet, ‘the war to end all wars’ did not keep its promise. Far from it. We are still hopping from one armistice to the next Armageddon. So what are we commemorating – and especially, why?
Using quotations from politicians, marketeers, and re-enactors, Thomas Bellinck exposes the mechanisms behind the centenary. What exactly is the relationship between commemoration, politics, tourism, and big business?
• Theatre producer and director Thomas Bellinck consistently delivers sharp political commentary in a variety of forms. From musical (Simple as ABC #2: Keep Calm & Validate) to text-based theatre (Lethal Inc.) and exhibitions on location (Domo de Eŭropa Historio and Ekzilo). In 2017, he presented his most recent production, Simple as ABC #2 at Kaaitheater. Now that the commemorations of WWI are coming to an end, he is reprising Memento Park here.

Tijdens Matinee Kadee organiseren we gratis opvang voor kinderen tot 12 jaar in de vorm van een leuke workshop bij de matineevoorstellingen op zondagnamiddag. Kinderen tot vier jaar kunnen intussen spelen in de crèche.
