Aanslagen Zonder Gevolgen – variation#2/ETHANOL

installation
19.09.2014

As close as possible

The Belgian artist Pieter Van den Bosch studied performance and… pyrotechnics. This year he is in residence at workspacebrussels. Fire, explosives and other natural phenomena play a striking part in his work. Variation#2/ETHANOL is part of his Attack without consequences series, which he is presenting in Belgium and the Netherlands. He is creating five fire constructions accessible to the public, five variations on ‘attack situations’, though without any substantive or other danger. This enables the spectator to get as close as possible to the moment of the attack and the physical reality of the fire.

Hundred spectators can participate in the performance. The recordings of the attacks will be shown later in an exhibition at the Brakke Grond in Amsterdam and at the Kaaitheater.

Wanted: 100 enthusiastic volunteers

To perform in variation#2/ETHANOL, 19/9 from 16:00>21:00.
