Amongst ourselves we rarely speak
In his book Het Draagbare Paradijs (the portable paradise) the musician and journalist Gerry De Mol describes the lives of nine women singers who immigrated to Belgium. Together with a fine selection of musicians from all corners of the world, he creates a musical evening specially for Spoken Word based on five of these women, in which war, exclusion and a fear of the unknown plays a central role.
