Body Dialogues Unfolded
Choreographer and dancer Anneleen Keppens enters into lengthy conversations with various artists. These Body Dialogues zoom in on specific aspects of the body and dance. For Body Dialogue I, the first part of the series, she is in contact with writer Elke de Rijcke. Their dialogue revolves around hands, a body part with which we create and feel the world. Often they are dirty and hard at work, but they also give us access to the spiritual.
During this Open Studios XL, Anneleen and Elke will share their research with an audience for the first time. Body Dialogues Unfolded is a shared space in which hands weave movements and words together. This takes shape in images, memories and thought processes. Through these, they place their artistic dialogue into the world.
