Rainbow
WORKING TITLE FESTIVAL — We are shaped by an infinity of reflections, like a rainbow. This immersive installation – literally – reflects our differences and multiple identities. Inspired by The Conference of the Birds by the Persian poet Farid ud-Din Attar, Fakoor reflects on the myth of a clear-cut national identity and the celebration of difference.
• Nazanin Fakoor studied theatre arts in Munich and Paris, and scenography at La Cambre in Brussels. She has participated in various co-operative projects and exhibitions, in theatres, museums and opera houses throughout the world, where she worked with Robert Wilson, Zhang Huang, Anish Kapoor and La Fura dels Baus. Her visual installations and performances are utopian approaches to reality at the boundary between the recognizable and estranging, between truth and illusion. To question identity has become part of her identity.
