BRIGHT
To sharpen your senses
In the first production of his own, Christian Bakalov takes you on an anonymous journey in the dark, a place where boundaries are undefined. The piece plays with the boundaries of performance and lighting and flirts with near-darkness. BRIGHT: where the dark is a way to sharpen your senses and the phosphorescent delusions/images stimulate your imagination.
• After completing his studies at the Ballet School of the Opera House in Sofia, Christian Bakalov began his career as a dancer in France. We know him mainly through his performances with Jan Fabre and Ivo Dimchev. Apart from this, he has also performed in the work of Robert Wilson, Jérôme Bel, Miet Warlop, and Florentina Holzinger and Vincent Riebeek.
