Analysis - The Whole Song
Analysis – The Whole Song is the final piece in a trilogy on contemporary opera. After The Ballad of Ricky and Ronny – a Pop Opera (2007) and Ricky and Ronny and Hundred Stars – a Sado Country Opera (2010), MaisonDahlBonnema are now entering into dialogue with the new media.
It will be a journey through time and space in which our protagonists, Ricky and Ronny, find themselves in various historical situations and confront iconic historical figures. It will be a contemporary, poetic, mythical and religious story, a spiritual quest full of questions and encounters, where one can feel the whole of human history vibrating.
Hans Petter Dahl provides the musical compositions and Anna Sophia Bonnema writes the lyrics. You can expect a concert full of cries from the heart.
'Successful existential crisis among everyday matters and pop cultural references.'
