Second Life

dance
21—22.11.2008

In Second Life Andros imagines a futuristic retirementhome. One in which he and his generation could end up in in a far away future. His imagination starts from the consideration that real life utopia's  (cruise schip, artificial ilands) and those created virtually (Second Life) start to resemble each other more and more. Whereas the first is primeraly directed towards the elderly, the latter owns its existance to young gamers. In his performance Andros brings both groups together: he is surrounded by a group of young dancers as well as a group of amateur elderly performers from 70 and beyond.
