An amusing tirade about politics, love and our most intimate thoughts
‘What do you know about politics? What do you know about love? What do you know about us? And what do we know about it?’ The Tristero theatre company from Brussels is only too eager to ask questions. This time however, you only get the answers.
The actor Peter Vandenbempt wrote Iemand van ons on the basis of statements he gleaned from the media, to which he added several of his own concoctions, and finished off the whole with revelations made by the actors. The result is a constant stream of facts, statements, witticisms, clichés, lies and secrets. On politics and society, love and relationships.
Peter Vandenbempt: ‘In Ieder van ons our aim was to create a less unequivocal picture of the political world. Politics is often seen in a negative light but it is something that is complex and valuable.’
