The work of the Canadian composer Claude Vivier is as mysterious as his tragic life. Early on, his compositions seemed both an escape into the sublime and an obsession with death. Today, one might consider them prophetic. Did he predict his own, violent death? Het Collectief sheds some light on the composer’s heavenly fringe.
