Kaaitheater and Ant Hampton are looking for young actors (8>11Y)
Do you know, it’s Crazy But True!
Do you have or do you know children who love to act?
Would you like to see them ascend the stage of the Kaaitheater in a funny and bewildering performance about the state of the world? This is the perfect chance to sign them up.
We are looking for 8 > 11 year olds to perform in the Belgian première of Crazy But True, a production by theatre director Ant Hampton, on Thursday 21/09.
Onstage, the children will form a panel of ‘experts’. They will each wear headphones, through which they will hear a text that they must repeat. Rehearsals are thus not necessary. They will recite a growing list of extraordinary facts. While some are very funny, others describe a world for which the adult audience is collectively responsible.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
When? Thu 21/09, 5.30 PM > 8 PM
Where? Kaaitheater: Sainctelettesquare 19, 1000 Brussel
The performance is divided into 12-minute slots. Each child can choose to take part in one or more of these slots. No rehearsals are necessary. We expect the children who will appear in the first slot to arrive at 5 PM. The performance is bilingual: Dutch and French. We will make sure that your child can take part in his/her preferred language. All the participating children must be accompanied by an adult. Acting experience is not required, enthusiasm to take part is all you need!
