In All Ears ziet de zaal eruit als een geïmproviseerd laboratorium. Geluiden worden opgenomen, afgespeeld, teruggespoeld. Ze vormen een unieke soundtrack voor wat volgt. Kate McIntosh vertelt over gedrag van mensen en dieren, over crowd control en linguïstiek, maakt grappen over politiek en groepsdynamiek, vogelkaarten en verkeersfiles...

In de stilte tussen de geluidsopnames gaat ze op zoek naar de kern van de zaak: wie zijn we als we alleen zijn, hoe gedragen we ons in groep, hoe verander je een cultuur en wat lopen we mis in onze drang naar zelfverwezenlijking? All Ears is een speelse, spitse voorstelling die balanceert op de fijne lijn tussen experiment en entertainment.

• Kate McIntosh overstijgt met haar werk de grenzen van performance, theater, video en installatie. Ook in eerdere voorstellingen als All Natural, DARK MATTER of Untried Untested, gooit ze wetenschap, variété, stand up, filosofische vragen en eclectische verhalen in de mix. Vanaf 2017 is ze artist-in-residence in het Kaaitheater.
