Performance vroeger én nu

Wil je meer weten over performance art vóór je het festival Performatik induikt, volg dan onze nieuwe vierdelige cursus What is Performance Art. Over het (on)nut van de containerterm ‘performance’. Over performance vroeger én nu, in de beeldende én de podiumkunsten. In elke les belichten we performance vanuit een andere invalshoek, waarna je een performance ziet (in een theatrale of een museale context) die raakvlakken heeft met de thematiek. Katleen Van Langendonck, programmator van het Kaaitheater en curator van Performatik, en telkens een andere specialist gidsen je door het performance-art-landschap aan de hand van tekst en uitleg en veel beeldmateriaal.

Bettina Knaup

Cultural producer and curator with a background in theatre and film studies, political science and gender studies. She is interested in the interface of live arts, politics and knowledge production, and has curated and/or produced transnational projects such as the ‘open space’ public arts and science programme at the International Women’s University (Hannover, 1998-2000), and the IN TRANSIT transdisciplinary performing arts laboratory (Berlin, House of World Cultures 2002-2003). Between 2001 and 2004 she co-curated and co-directed the CITY OF WOMEN international festival of contemporary arts (Ljubljana). Recent projects include the performance festivals 'performing proximities' (Beursschouwburg Brussels 2008) and 'Performance Platform. Body Affects' (Sophiensaele Berlin 2012, with S. Bake), as well as the longterm project 're.act.feminism #2 - a performing archive', which travelled through seven European countries from 2011-2013.
