Young Dreams

dance
26.04.2026

Dreams, invisible stories, and sounds that are interlinked with our memory run through the piece. The two performers on stage have spent time weaving and crafting a world in which sound and movement collide. The opening scene is a reminiscent act between the two performers, inviting the audience to delve into their world. In Young Dreams, the choreography focuses on small gestures, and the connection between them. Often the performers are seen to be still; at other times they follow, speculate, trace a memory.

Amina Abouelghar is a dancer and choreographer who is based between Brussels and Cairo. She graduated from the Cairo Contemporary Dance Center. In her practice, she is often fascinated by rhythms, and the connection between stories and bodies. Her work has been featured in Festival de Marseille, Festival de la Cité, Indiscipline Festival, NEXT Festival, and others. She is currently working on her next piece Birds Cries. From 2026 until 2028 she is associated with workspacebrussels as a house artist.
