GHOST PARTY

Ever partied with a ghost?? Ever tasted a freshly made agua fresca, or even (gasp)…an agua loca?? Hosted by Mexican performance artist and storyteller Desirée 0100, we bring you GHOST PARTY, a day of unearthly antics for spectral visitors of all ages. 

For kids (and cool adults) in the daytime: Face painting, mask-making, and a performance of La Fiesta de Delfina. When the kids are safely tucked into bed, the evening will turn towards the occult!  

As the moon gets high and the night grows dark, ominous, (and maybe a little rambunctious): Desirée will lead us through La Noche de Aparición, a bewitching performance inspired by horror movies and Mexican ghost tales. After the main event, we’ll enter the portal to an eerie DJ set.        

Don your spookiest garms and dance: with each other, with the apparitions already in your life, and with the ones who are waiting to meet you. ;) Don’t forget to try some traditional candies. Who needs teeth in the afterlife, anyway.

• Désirée 0100 was born in Mexico in 1992 and has lived in Belgium since 2018. She is a performer, creator, and teacher who explores magic, healing, immigration, horror, fantasy and humour. Between 2015 and 2018 she collaborated with Dana Dance Company in France, where she led dance projects in medical environments. In 2022 and 2023, she created La Fiesta de Delfina, which was presented at a number of festivals. Currently she is developing La Noche de Aparición, in which she combines dance, clowning and Mexican folklore.
