Dans The Shadow Whose Prey the Hunter Becomes, trois activistes ayant un handicap mental organisent une réunion publique. Leur objectif : engager une discussion franche et ouverte sur une histoire que nous préférerions ne pas connaître et un futur qui devient rapidement incontrôlable. Sans hésitation et avec une fraîcheur saisissante, la compagnie australienne revient à Bruxelles pour la deuxième fois avec sa dernière création The Shadow Whose Prey the Hunter Becomes. L’éthique de la production alimentaire de masse, les droits humains et l’impact social de l’automatisation sont habilement entrelacés dans une histoire passionnante qui explore les fondations instables sur lesquelles est construite la société contemporaine. Les comédien·nes remettent en question les paramètres du théâtre traditionnel, la perception de leurs propres limites et les hypothèses contemporaines sur l’intelligence artificielle et l’esprit humain. La compagnie crée ainsi une révélation théâtrale inspirée par les erreurs (humaines), les duperies et les malentendus, comme un rappel inexorable qu’aucun·e de nous n’est autosuffisant·e et que nous sommes tous·tes responsables.
