Sometime in the not-so-distant future, two friends meet in a forest. Michel, just back from two years of deep mindfulness in an ashram, have been keeping up with the news. Taylor hurries to tell him about his adventures with the 'Context and Modality Platform', a kind of political party that – as an out-of-control joke and against all odds – has ended up at the gates of power. Have Taylor and his friends managed to stay true to their ideals?

How do you do that, literally dance a dance language? Can a stage be like a page? Letters 2 Dance is an organised misunderstanding of a worn-out metaphor: choreography as dance writing starting with the smallest element, the alphabet

Fri 01.04 - Sat 02.04.22

The performance How not to be understood?  approaches art as a spirit. A spirit that surrounds people, influences them and appears to them in unpredictable ways. Through video fragments, a piece of fabric and his own body, Marcos Simões takes you on a journey through a spiritual sequence of rituals. Get ready for this encounter with art as an unformed being: a process that connects the invisible to the visible, the finite to the infinite, the one to the many.

Wed 09.03 - Thu 10.03.22

Imagine a tower of countless lamps and light sources. It comes to life buzzing, creaking and crackling to the rhythm of switching sounds. Named after the light designer Bruno Pocheron, BRUNO brings together series of dances oscillating between figuration and abstraction with three dancers trying on their movements as if they were clothes: every touch, every gesture, however fugitive, forever printed.

[this performance has been postponed] Choreography is writing. Based in this realization, Mette Edvardsen has taken a new step in the writing process that she has been developing over the past ten years. She does not consider dance primarily as a visual art, rather she experiences how it engages all the other senses, such as listening, feeling and imagining. In the new creation Livre d’images sans images, Edvardsen collects song lyrics and texts that you hear in various forms – live and recorded.

Whether you want to call Magical and Elastic a musical, deconstructed musical or an anti-musical doesn't really matter. Music, choreography, images and language are dependent on each other. This performance is a space where you see to listen and listen to see. Expect a magical performance where a narrative emerges from an image, a choreography is created thanks to the music, and the music starts from the words…

How to live without putting a bullet through your head before you turn fifty? Three companies are making the same number of performances about the person and work of the American cult author David Foster Wallace. The starting point is the author's biography, his addiction, genius, insecurity, depression and hyper-consciousness. The first part, DAVID of hoe we ons bedacht hebben (DAVID or how we imagined ourselves), explores how to live a meaningful life, a life that is connected to others and to the world.

How does one make darkness tangible? Which other realities, encounters and connections become possible in the dark? gone here (yet) to come is an investigation into the materiality of darkness and how it relates to space. Digging deeper and deeper into the theatrical space and time exposes lost memories. Let these specters guide you into the dark and discover other dimensions of the world as we know it.

On stage are actresses Lois Lumonga Brochez, Aurelie Di Marino and Mira Bryssinck – they play God, Devil and Narrator. The audience also plays a role: everyone gets to sing, pray and incant.

Tactile Talk invites you into a landscape of foam rocks, where performers guide you through a game. Place a rock, make eye contact, follow, take charge, stand back and watch the image emerge. Tactile Talk is a meeting, a silent conversation about making contact, setting boundaries, noticing what moves us and what moves between us. It is a visual game, and a social choreography in which you investigate distance and proximity.

Thu 11.11 - Fri 12.11.21

Francesca Grilli‘s SPARKS 2021 is a participatory project based on a simple act: children read adults their future in the palm of their hand, as a hopeful gesture and as a break with the past. The setup is simple; the kids, mysterious. As an adult, keeping quiet is the most important. Be still, surrender to their power, and open yourself to their visions and reflections.
