Matinee Kadee
5 fun children’s workshops & 5 Sunday matinees for parents
While you enjoy the performance in the theatre, the children take over the rest of the Kaaitheater building. The 4 to 12s let down their hair in workshops that are both challenging and fun; younger brothers or sisters are looked after in a cosy room.
> The workshops are free; you only have to buy a ticket for the performance.
> As there is only a limited number of places for the workshops it is necessary to book in advance.
● Sunday 3/10/2010 performance tgSTAN + workshop film
We explore the world of film: from flip books to animation films. We also put together a film of our own!
● Sunday 21/11/2010 (duration: 2 hours): performance of Needcompany’s The Deer House + drawing workshop
We use our imaginations to the full and draw the craziest things: do you enjoy drawing moving figures or would you prefer to do a chocolate painting?
● Sunday 30/01/2011: performance of Accords by Thomas Hauert / ZOO (duration: 75 min.) + workshop Bal Moderne
We learn some fun dances that we will never forget.
● Sunday 3/04/2011, Elena’s Aria by Rosas (duration: 2 hours) + music workshop
We make our own wind instruments and so create our very own orchestra. And then, standing on large tubs, we really let rip: the whole neighbourhood will hear us.
● Sunday 15/05/2011: The Indian Queen opera by Jan Decorte + circus workshop
Everyone is a circus artist! We try our hand with the diabolo and learn to juggle. And the real daredevils can walk a tightrope and do acrobatics.
