FORGERIES, LOVE AND OTHER MATTERS is a comedy of manners that has mutated into a science-fiction story. Are the figures we see on stage campers or tramps, friends or lovers, people or animals? Like potholers, Meg Stuart and Benoît Lachambre explore the underground landscapes of the body and the geography of our relationships with each other and our surroundings.


For this production Meg Stuart joined forces with the Canadian choreographer and dancer Benoît Lachambre and the American composer and musician Hahn Rowe. All three had worked together before, in, among other things, Meg Stuart’s No Longer Readymade (1993) and in the improvisation projects Crash Landing (1996-1999) and Not to Know (2002).
