Every Contact Leaves a Trace

film

Every Contact Leaves a Trace  is a criminal investigation conducted by people who suffer and perish under coloniality and fight back through their bodies and their stories. The film and its accompanying booklet were crafted as a mosaic of images, a palimpsest of fragmented narratives, of individuals and collectives fighting against the topographical, socio-economic, cultural, and symbolic coloniality of the “Capital of Europe.”

This film, produced by ZIN TV, was directed by Nizar Saleh Mohammed Ali and is the result of a collaborative writing effort led by Milady Renoir with the Collectif Mémoire coloniale et lutte contre les discriminations, Jean Illi and Solina Diallo, researchers at ULB, Taslim Mamadou Diallo of La Voix des sans papiers de Bruxelles, Sarah Bahja, Valentin Fayet, and Thomas Michel of ZIN TV.

The film will be followed by a conversation between the authors and the audience. This conversation will last more or less 30 minutes.
