La Noche de Aparición

theatre
performance
12—13.02.2026

La Noche de Aparición is a playful horror tale in three acts by artists Désirée 0100 and Lulu Muñoz. Where fear meets longing, and whispers in the dark might be real, a group of ghostly, undocumented creatures wander through the stage, carrying stories shaped by humour, tenderness, sorrow, and memories that refuse to rest.

Through the aesthetics of the uncanny the performance explores solitude, intimacy, trauma, and the complexities of migration. These ghosts are not monsters but companions who embody the experiences that come with displacement. Drawing from Mexican myths and Latin American pop culture, the performance weaves folklore with personal history, allowing past and present to blur.

From quiet apparitions over playful encounters to a ritual-like celebration shaped by electronic sound and choreographic transformation, the atmosphere oscillates between tenderness and mischief, melancholy and exuberance, inviting the audience to imagine, to laugh, and to listen to what emerges from the shadows.

• Désirée 0100, a Mexican performer based in Belgium, works with magic, humour, immigration narratives, and Mexican folklore, while Lulu Muñoz, a Colombian artist trained in dance and electronic music, brings a movement-driven approach to sound and choreography. Together, they create a world where the supernatural echoes everyday experiences of displacement and desire. In La Noche de Aparición, the creatures come with stories. And tonight, they dance.
