HYPERDREAM
HYPERDREAM is a performance of touch that addresses the relationship between dance and the unknown. A performance in which the audience is witness to a dance moved by a mystery: an unknown message that absorbs the gaze. Like two friends who spend the night on the floor of their room, laughing and talking about improbable dreams until, without realising it, they fall asleep, exhausted with happiness.
The dancers Arantxa Martínez and Paz Rojo transmit to each other what is happening, what has happened, what they imagine, what comes to them, what they sense, what remains. Things they find, that resonate, that persist: the sounds of birds, the sounds they are hearing, a landscape, the ground they are walking on, the weight of their legs rubbing against the surface, a shoe, the sensation of the clothes they are wearing, atoms, an earthquake… ‘Transmitting’ as a fully communicative exercise does not consist in consolidating what they know, but in relating to the unknown.
The production of almost hallucinated bodies is also characteristic of the soundscape created by sound artist and performer Luz Prado, who proposes a live listening relationship between sound engineering and action on stage. Sound and movement intertwine, producing an alternative interface or ‘gap’ in the sensible itself, when different times, spacetime dimensions, devices and intuitions touch each other.
