Estafette for Palestine

Festival
De Kriekelaar

What role does culture play in times of genocide? Since the beginning of the genocide in Palestine, Brussels has become an emergency destination for Palestinian asylum seekers. Across Europe, we see governments failing to provide adequate support to people in economic and social need. Local solidarity networks are organising to accommodate Palestinian asylum seekers, offering solutions ranging from private housing to occupying buildings.

Therefore, together with Les Halles de Schaerbeek, Estafette, MONTAGE, Sal de Fête and Soumaya Phéline, we are deploying our institutional and cultural resources to organise a fundraising campaign for these networks. On 28 September, De Kriekelaar and Les Halles de Schaerbeek will be dedicated to defending the human rights of Palestinians living in Belgium.
