iet's extra by Khadija El Kharraz Alami
After the performance, iet's extra invites you to linger a bit longer in the performers' universe.
Drawing inspiration from her artistic process in Morocco, Khadija El Kharraz Alami brings in the magic of lila gnawa - a nocturnal trance ceremony with gnawa music. Discover the enchanting gnawa universe of Driss Filali, a mâalem or gnawa master from the Moroccan diaspora in Brussels. The son of mâalem Selam, he has been immersed in gnawa culture and music since he was a small child. You can also enjoy the talented Hanane Abdallah, who found her own unique style in gnawa and gave this predominantly male repertoire her own touch. A unique experience after the show!
