Feral
Feral is a dance piece made as a series of four different staged landscapes, transforming over time. Each of those landscapes hosts the dancers in a different way – exposing the multiple relations of the individuals and of the group to their environment.
While the piece unfolds, the landscapes become corrupted, filthy, excessive, toxic, monstrous, ruined, horrific, fractured and glamorous. Four different dance landscapes take over the stage: the theatre space becomes a void, an opulent dumpsite, a synthetic desert and a horizon.
A space inhabited by deviant figures, inanimate, hollowed-out surfaces – strangely but precisely ‘charged’ in their body movements and presence. An experience of suspension rather than instruction that assumes contrastingly different imaginaries of body and place.
