Yo en el Futuro (Me in the Future)
Federico Leon is one of the young artists who form the avant-garde in Argentina. His film Estrellas was one of the surprises of the Kunstenfestivaldesarts in 2006. This year he returns with a project in which he introduces film into the theatre. A series of homemade films from the 50s are the starting point for Yo en el futuro. The makers, now in their 70s, ask a group of youngsters to replay the scenes of their childhood and youth. Yo en el futuro is a performance like a time machine. Past and present flash past each other. Their outlines become blurred in an inventive game in which three generations take part.
