You need at least one spectator to be able to call something a performance” (Jerzy Grotowski).
Jérôme Bel is a choreographer and dancer. Almost all his productions have been staged at the Kaaitheater. His The show must go on was a worldwide hit. But Jérôme Bel is also a spectator, and has been for a long time.
