There is Nothing Wrong with People IV: Joy
De affirmatieve titel There is Nothing Wrong with People, but you cannot self-love your way out of systemic oppression (TiNWwP) staat voor een vierdelig artivistisch programma, dat pleit voor geestelijke gezondheid en sociale rechtvaardigheid.
Dit programma onderzoekt hoe het persoonlijke politiek is, en het politieke persoonlijk. Het biedt workshops, performances en lezingen die onderzoeken hoe sociale omstandigheden en mechanismen van onderdrukking ons beïnvloeden. Om de voortdurende onzichtbaarheid van gemarginaliseerde stemmen tegen te gaan, kiest TiNWwP ervoor om persoonlijke verhalen en helende praktijken van mensen die systemische onderdrukking ervaren centraal te stellen.
We nodigen je uit om tijdens dit programma actief deel te nemen aan collectieve verandering en nieuwe gedragscodes, in en rond jezelf. Na een jaar waarin we onze emoties hebben onderzocht en ze de ruimte hebben gegeven om woede, angst en rouw collectief en zonder oordeel tot bloei te laten komen, gaan we over op BLIJHEID.
Yessss het is tijd om te vieren, babes! Dit tweedaagse zomerprogramma eindigt met een memorabel slotfeest – Joyful Joyful Joy!
• TiNWwP is samengesteld door Johanna Couvée en Bouchra Lamsyeh en is een samenwerking met Citylab Pianofabriek, Kaaitheater en een groeiend netwerk van inspirerende partners, genezers, kunstenaars, activisten. Het kwam tot stand met de steun van de Vlaamse Gemeenschap en de Vlaamse Gemeenschapscommissie en met de aanwezigheid van ons mooie publiek.
