David Weber-Krebs & Jeroen Peeters
In these times of climate crisis, how can we approach the performing arts as a space of critical reflection, of honing our attention and situating ourselves differently in view of these urgent matters?*
David Weber-Krebs and Jeroen Peeters in their own words: On Enclosed Spaces and the Great Outdoors is a plaform for artistic research and a series of performative conferences curated by David Weber-Krebs and Jeroen Peeters. What role can the performing arts play in the debate on climate crisis? Jeroen Peeters is a writer, dramaturge and performer based in Brussels. He has published widely on contemporary dance and performance, art theory and philosophy, including a book on spectatorship in contemporary dance. His current research focuses on ecologies of attention, embodied knowledge, material literacy and sustainable development.
David Weber-Krebs is an artist, a researcher and a curator based in Brussels. He studied at the University of Fribourg (CH) and the Amsterdam School of the Arts (NL). David explores various contexts as a basis for an experimental process, which questions the traditional relationship between the work of art and its public.
*The Question : la question fondamentale dont émerge tout spectacle.
