K.62 & K.73
In K.62 their inspiration was Orson Welles’ The Trial (1962). K.62 is a musical mystery for audience and orchestra seasoned with a large measure of imagination and a touch of magic. K.73, which refers to Malpertuis (1973) by Harry Kümel, has been specially created for the Kaaitheater. Fate will decide which spectators of K.62 will be admitted to K.73.
In the meantime, at another venue, K.85, a black comedy on ‘missed connections’ inspired by Martin Scorcese’s After Hours (1985) and which puts one spectator’s expectations to the test.
• Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster (b. Strasbourg, 1965; lives and works in Paris and Rio de Janeiro) is developing a very diverse genre that comprises film and video, photography and installations. In 2002 she was awarded the Marcel Duchamp Prize. Ari Benjamin Meyers (b. New York, 1972; lives and works in Berlin) is a musical jack-of-all-trades: he has conducted opera, played in various rock bands, composed for theatre, dance and film and introduced modern music to the Berlin club scene with his Redux Orchestra.

K.62 was created for the Performa festival, New York, in November 2009. It will be restaged in a new version with the city of Brussels as a backdrop.
