Submission submission

performance
14—16.03.2019

In Submission Submission Bryana Fritz takes the position of an amateur hagiographer. The amateur being both a beginner and a lover. The hagiographer as the writer of saint’s lives. In four different portraits, Fritz makes a performative collage based on female medieval saints and the modes by which they subverted their enclosed and restricted lives, deaths and passions. Submitting her physical and digital body to holy echoes from the past, she dissects and harnesses the tools that give body.

• Bryana Fritz was born in Chicago and has studied dance in Minneapolis, Essen and with PARTS. She’s since lived and worked in Brussels as a dancer, performance-maker and poet. With this new performance, Fritz further pursues her romance with dance, poetry and the digital screen.
