Arts Day for Children: SHOW (4-12y)
presented by Kaaitheater & Globe Aroma
During four amazing workshops – on location at Globe Aroma and at the Kaaistudios – a new show will be created in only one day. Are you most interested in costumes and masks, swinging dance moves, accompanying music or would you prefer to build the set? The waffle iron is already red-hot because people who work hard need to eat! In the run-up to the première at the end of the day, you will go in search of an audience during a parade through the city. Standing ovation!

WORKSHOP COSTUME + DANCE [6-9y]

Bring an old T-shirt, skirt or pair of trousers and become a professional costume designer! With mirrors, peanuts and cassette tape, you can create your own costume (which you can take home with you at the end of the day). Then take part in the dance workshop: along with dancers from Rosas, you will take your first tentative steps in the world of dance. This swinging workshop will focus on tempo, improvisation, flexibility, and the control of your body!

WORKSHOP MUSIC [4-6y]

Explore a musical universe: you will make your own instrument and learn how to play it. You will play the rhythm to which the dancers will move during the show. You are thus an essential part of the SHOW and will create a great atmosphere!

WORKSHOP SET DESIGN [9-12y]

While dance and music take centre stage during productions, there would be no theatrical magic without beautifully designed sets. In this workshop, you can discover a variety of materials that are used to make sets. You can then design, build and install your very own set because after all, there is a scenographer in each one of us!
