Monstrous encounters of clowns - An attempt to swallow the world
Monstrous encounters of clowns aims to look at the proximity between ridiculousness and brutality in contemporary life and the implications of such a close co-existence of two extremes. The project is divided into two phases. The first (2014-2015) consists of 3 one-month periods of work that each end in a public presentation. The second (2016) will bring the whole team together to create a larger work. The first period was presented in Buda (Kortrijk) in October 2014. The second will be presented during Burning Ice #8. Nada Gambier and Marcos Simoes will transform facts into fictional stories and fiddle with the uncertainty of a constantly changing world and the confusion that this brings.
