Philippe Vandenberg, Angel Vergara, Mohammed Targa, Tom Woestenborghs

exhibition

Having been inspired by the fault lines, the CENTRALE for contemporary art is presenting an exhibition of work by four artists. In his intense drawings, Philippe Vandenberg (1952-2009) depicts the struggle between man and woman. The work by Angel Vergara is Galeria Del ANO (1997), a floor plan of the Dhondt Daenens Museum painted on a mirrored surface, into which he weaves an episode from the museum’s history and his own career. In Les Visiteuses (1989), Mohammed Targa shows the intimacy of a couple in prison. The works by Tom Woestenborghs are several landscape collages made of foil.
