Suite n°4
Na Suites no1, 2 en 3 creëert Encyclopédie de la parole het laatste deel van hun felbejubelde reeks. Met deze Suite brengt het collectief een voorstelling over afwezigheid, zoals een opera zonder zangers of een theater zonder acteurs. Ondanks deze fysieke afwezigheid zijn de personages voelbaar aanwezig. Als geesten keren ze terug van een verre plek en laten ze hun stem horen. Bereid je voor op een mentale trip die alle middelen van het Kaaitheater aanwendt om een indrukwekkende installatie van stemmen te componeren, worden begeleid door de composities van het Brusselse ensemble Ictus. Door zich te concentreren op de oneindige wendbaarheid en muzikaliteit van menselijke spraak, is Suite no4 een viering van het meest levendige en vluchtige aan de mens. Een manier om voor de laatste keer weerklank te geven aan al die waardevolle, maar anders ongehoorde stemmen.
• Het collectief Encyclopédie de la parole onderzoekt het gesproken woord in al zijn vormen. Regisseur Joris Lacoste tekende ook voor de eerste drie Suites, die elk op een virtuoze manier opgenomen stemmen tot leven wekken. De drie vorige delen waren eveneens te zien tijdens het Kunstenfestivaldesarts. Het Brusselse muziekensemble Ictus is een vaste waarde in het Kaaitheaterprogramma.
