Julius Caesar

theatre
28—29.01.2010

Julius Caesar, whose eloquence made him the voice of the oppressed, speaks to us. He names our deepest fears. He expresses what we have always felt. He teaches us to dream.

Peter Verhelst, the highly esteemed writer and theatre-maker, has written a new play for three actors: Aus Greidanus (Caesar), Kristof Van Boven (Brutus) and Paul Slangen (TrouwEerenVolk). Julius Caesar is the second part, following Lex, of Verhelst’s series of plays about absolute rulers in antiquity.
