In this performance/cookery workshop, Feiko Beckers argues that a disappointment need not always be an unfortunate event. It might also be a crucial point upon which you can rely unconditionally. With faulty instructions and impractical utensils, Beckers teaches you several cooking techniques, which result in a reliable failure and an utterly inedible meal. In Feiko Beckers’ world, failure is always a joy!
• Feiko Beckers is a visual artist from the Netherlands. His work is situated at the intersection of video, performance, installation, and text. He has previously held residencies in the Rijksacademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam and the Palais de Tokyo in Paris.
