Africa Is/In the Future

Africa is/in the Future is in its ninth edition and once again celebrates themes from Afro-diasporic discourse. If this discourse is no longer on the margins today, it is because of the emergence and resilience - the two central themes this year - of the people who carry them. As always, the festival is open to all, but there is a more focused invitation to black and Afro-descendant people of the continent and diaspora. 

Africa is/in the Future is about African contemporaneity. It started in 2016 at Cinéma Nova as a programme of African science fiction films, Africa is/in the Future has since 2017 been a multidisciplinary festival and is now produced by La Bellone.
