Discover a rare edition by Italian artist Mario Merz (1925-2003), a key figure in the Arte Povera movement. This 'poor art' sought to oppose the devouring forces of industrialization and consumerism by using common and organic materials (such as food, earth, or discarded objects). In 1970, Mario Merz became fascinated by the famous Fibonacci sequence, in which every number is the sum of the two preceding numbers. This sequence inspired something boundless in him, free from the restraints of modern life. He translated the series into spiralling forms, igloos, and compositions with tables. CC Strombeek is exhibiting the title page and three images of such a table design from 1974.
