How To Live and Work Now: de residenties. Een enthousiaste groep artiesten gaat aan het experimenten in onze zalen en repetitieruimtes of elders. For this residency, the Brussels based artists Nada Gambier, Gosie Vervloessem, Michiel Reynaert, Ondine Cloez and Eszter Némethi come together out of a desire to temporarily transform their individual artistic practices into a collective trajectory of learning.

Nous sommes six fxmmes Afro-descendantes, majoritairement Queer, avides d’apprendre les unes des autres et de nous nourrir artistiquement. Nous créons de manière collaborative et coresponsable, et nous voulons puiser dans nos différentes aptitudes afin d’expérimenter de nouvelles formes de faire. Nos disciplines sont variées, allant de la danse à l’audio-visuel, en passant par le chant, le théâtre, l’écriture et la création web.

In this residency, Alberto García del Castillo will carry out collaborative work with artists and activists Fátima Masoud Salazar and Talya Cholet to prepare an experimental and collaborative artistic research project on queer collective approaches to Risk Reduction and the act of gathering.

The measures of distancing have made it impossible to have any kind of physical intimacy between performers and spectators. Mediated by contemporary online technology and transmitted into personal computers, phones and tablets, new online performances constitute public space by gathering people together in one virtual room and by offering them a live and immediate performance.

Thiago Antunes's Job is a performative game that can be played through an online platform. It will take place in a room at Kaaitheater, where an avatar/performer will follow the voice commands of a group of remotely connected players.
