Madlove
'It ain’t no bad thing to need a safe place to go mad. The problem is that a lot of psychiatric hospitals are more punishment than love… They need some Madlove… Is it possible to go mad in a positive way? How would you create a safe place in which to do so? If you designed your own asylum, what would it be like? It’s time to put the treat back into treatment!'
Samen met artieste Hannah Hull nodigt the vacuum cleaner je uit voor een workshop over geestelijk gezond zijn en het psychiatrisch centrum van de toekomst. Hoe kun je de machtsrelaties tussen patiënt en personeel beter begrijpen?
• KAOS (KunstAtelier Opperstraat) ontstond in 2011 in de schoot van het psycho-sociaal centrum St-Alexius in Elsene. Samen met kunstenaars die al dan niet psychisch kwetsbaar zijn, verwezenlijkt de organisatie tentoonstellingen, concerten, publicaties, lezingen, etcetera. Kaaitheater ontving KAOS al eens in 2016 met een expo in de foyer.
