Walking the Line
Un corps collectif
Pour sa nouvelle performance, le chorégraphe Benjamin Vandewalle nous emmène à nouveau dans la ville. Il prend l’initiative d’une série d’actions délibérées : parfois banales, d’autres fois peu conventionnelles. Chemin faisant, le groupe d’individus qui participent à Walking the Line se transforme en un corps collectif. Par un enchaînement de tableaux vivants, cette performance-promenade fait porter un regard nouveau sur la ville autour de soi.
• Dans son œuvre, Benjamin Vandewalle offre chaque fois de nouvelles perspectives et expériences, aussi bien dans la salle de théâtre qu’en milieu urbain. Ainsi, il a fait circuler de petits groupes de spectateurs à travers Molenbeek dans Birdwatching 4x4 (2012) et a proposé un nouveau point de vue dans le spectacle One/Zero (2011) ainsi que dans l’installation en tête-à-tête Peri-Sphere (qu’on a pu voir pendant Performatik17). La saison passée, Vandewalle a également créé la performance sonore Hear (2017).
