CASCADE
Dans CASCADE, Meg Stuart et sept danseurs remettent les pendules à l’heure et reconfigurent des réalités alternatives. Oscillant au bord d’un monde qui disparaît à grande vitesse, ils se plongent dans une autre dimension, à la recherche d’un passage secret, vers un futur terrain de jeu, vers un refuge. Dans la dislocation, ils trouvent leur force motrice. Courir, tomber et se relever fait chavirer leurs corps, tandis que leurs principes se transforment et acquièrent de nouveaux sens. CASCADE est un abandon de soi inconditionnel à ce que nous ignorons de l'autre. Entrez dans cette chute libre au rythme du temps qui s’effrite !
• La chorégraphe états-unienne Meg Stuart vit et travaille à Bruxelles et à Berlin. Sa compagnie Damaged Goods entretient un partenariat de longue date avec le Kaaitheater où elle a montré la majorité de ses créations. Pour CASCADE, elle collabore pour la première fois avec le scénographe et homme de théâtre français Philippe Quesne – dont le Kaaitheater a aussi présenté les spectacles créés avec son Vivarium Studio au cours des dix dernières années. Le compositeur et musicien Brendan Dougherty interprète la musique sur scène.
