Mobile archive

Bettina Knaup is one of the driving forces behind Re.act.feminism – a performing archive. From 2011 to 2013 this project travelled the world to discover unknown feminist, gender and queer performing artists and make their work accessible. The result is a mobile archive with more than 250 videos, photos and other documents of 180 performance artists. Work from the sixties to the present, from Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East, and North and South America. Bettina Knaup explains the project and presents visual material that shows previously unknown performances.
