Some use for your broken clay pots

theatre
performance
13—14.12.2012

In Some use for your broken clay pots, an actor plays the role of a candidate to the next elections. He is campaigning in front of the public - his potential electors - for a radical change of our democratic order. His program consists of a technical, but passionate proposal for a new election system, namely, a government system that would base its democratic legitimacy on disqualification rather than on election.

How would such a system look like? Can disqualification be democratic? What effects would it produce and what difference would that make for the citizens? Would there still be a thing such as the state? What kind of society will that produce? Can we believe in it ?

In collaboration with selected specialists from different academic backgrounds, Some use for your broken clay pots will make the portrait of a fictive society — the 21st century Ostracracy — and attempt to convince its audience that it possibly is a better way to follow…
